Well everything except the weather. We've been having a cool spell here in Nebraska...highs in the low 70s and it has been glorious! Sadly, however, I have not been able to run in it.
But everything else was summer...and so much more enjoyable we weren't sweating to death.
Jack sold cookies at Farmer's Market again this morning and I was able to pick up most of my produce including SWEET CORN.
And what goes better with sweet corn than hamburgers...on hot dog buns. The tomatoes were heirloom tomatoes from market.
Then because the boys took good naps, we decided to go to the rodeo. I was hoping to photograph a beautiful Nebraska sunset, but the clouds got in the way. It did make it easier to see though.
It was lovely being able to wear a jacket and it even was a bit chilly by the end. The other plus for cooler temps--less trashy fair apparel. Why is it so many people decide to dress skanky for the fair?
Snacks: Kettle Corn and Cotton Candy :)
The bull riding is the best part of rodeo, sadly, there were only 4 riders and none of them managed to stay on for the full 8 seconds. The guy riding the bounty bull (would get an additional $500 if he rode the bull the for full time) managed to stay on for about 6 seconds, but no one else even made it that long.
Have you ever been to a rodeo? What's your favorite part?
Do you frequent your local Farmer's Market?
